Welcome to Ca' Borin Library
Ca' Borin Library provides users with bibliographic resources from two disciplinary areas (Economics and Geography) as well as social sciences journals.
reading rooms
Our reading rooms, situated on the first floor of Ca' Borin building, provide a welcoming environment for studying.
Paper materials can be freely read in the library. Other services and resources are intended for institutional users and users with a SBA card.
The library also provides three tables with four seats each for group study.
All seating areas must be booked via
Affluences web or App (App Store / Google Play).

Looking for books or journals?
Look no further than GalileoDiscovery, our comprehensive search tool that grants access to the collective resources of libraries within the Sistema Bibliotecario Padovano network.
Using GalileoDiscovery and its advanced filters, you can quickly find the information you are looking for
- the availability of copies
- in which libraries you can find them
- their position on the shelf
- whether borrowing is allowed.
consulting and borrowing books
The books are mainly located on open shelves: you can use the location found in Galileo Discovery to locate where they are.
You can either take them to be consulted in the library or to be borrowed.
When you have found the books that you want, you can take them to the Library Front Office where staff will issue the book to you.teaching books

If you're looking for specific journals, utilize our GalileoDiscovery search tool:
- current issues are neatly stacked on the first floor in alphabetical order for easy access;
- for back issues, head to the ground floor where you'll find them cataloged with call numbers.
Please Note. Journals and magazines aren't available for borrowing.

The Library organize training courses in english to improve your research skills and guide you through all the resources and services the library can offer you:

- ZOTERO, to learn how to use Zotero reference management software effectively

Need help?
Users who need customized support in their bibliographic research activities can make use of the free bibliographic reference service by library staff.
To arrange an appointment (in-person or zoom meeting), you need to contact us by e-mail, online (ITA) or by going to the library reception desk during opening hours.
There is no charge for this service.
